Helen Taylor

I am a very experienced midwife having practised as a midwife now for over 30 years!

I have years of experience in both the hospital setting as well as community, & believe  your maternity care will be enhanced by the midwifery services I offer my clients.

I established my Independent Midwifery Practice “Midwife Care” over 15 years ago in 2009, & offer women/expectant couples access to “personal midwifery” support. It has been a thoroughly professionally rewarding experience, & I very much enjoy my work, offering women bespoke care to meet their own needs and wishes.

Aside from clinical midwifery care, I regularly work ad hoc for media such as Sky News and I have done several live interviews over the years, commenting & discussing current maternity related news items!

I am a conscientious midwife and keep myself up to date in all areas of practice, and always provide evidence based care, as recommended by NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) (http://www.nice.org.uk/).

I am registered with the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council)

I am a member of Independent Midwives UK http://www.independentmidwives.org.uk/, Royal College of Midwives (http://www.rcm.org.uk/) as well as Royal College of Nursing https://www.rcn.org.uk/

I have Professional Indemnity Insurance cover for all areas of my work as an Independent Midwife.

I am married with 3 children and consider myself to have practical parenting skills and knowledge.

I am a Named Safe Guarding Governor for a local girls senior school.
